Dr. Christine Shurley was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland. She completed her undergraduate education at Clemson University, where she graduated with honors. Dr. Shurley then attended the University of Maryland School of Dentistry, where she was elected into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU) Dental Honor Society and graduated at the top of her class. Dr. Shurley completed her residency training at Emory University School of Medicine, where she was mentored by some of the country’s best and most well-known surgeons. She served as the Chief Resident at Emory, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta – Egleston Hospital, and Grady Memorial Hospital. Dr. Shurley has performed a broad scope of oral surgery procedures, including dental implants, facial cosmetics, corrective jaw surgery, pathology, and high-risk trauma cases. She values expanding the field of oral surgery and has been published in national and international medical journals highlighting accomplishments in the field. Dr. Shurley is board-certified and is an active member of several professional organizations that include:

As a philanthropist, Dr. Shurley uses her extensive knowledge and skills to improve patients’ lives beyond her home practice and is proud to volunteer internationally with Healing the Children, a nonprofit that is one of the oldest and largest humanitarian volunteer-driven charities in the nation. Dr. Shurley also enjoys hiking, playing golf, cheering on Clemson’s football team, and spending time with her husband, son, and Golden Retriever, Bert.
